• You just want a few quick shots and to be done
• You’re only after trend-driven glam, not timeless confidence
• You’re not open to stepping out of your comfort zone and into your power (with full guidance and support, of course)

Think about the last photo that actually looks like you, not a quick selfie, not a candid someone else snapped and tagged you in, but a portrait that shows who you actually are right now.
Most women in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond can't answer that question.
You've spent decades behind the camera, taking pictures of everyone else: your kids, your parents, your friends. Your phone is full of proof that you were there. It has almost nothing that shows who you've become.
Beauty is not measured by metrics, and this experience is the mirror you've been too busy to look into: an unshakable, museum-quality portrait reflecting your resilience, your beauty and your hard-won wisdom exactly as they are today.
You'll find they serve two purposes, and each one builds on the other.
First, they're for you: daily reminders, hung where you'll see them, of exactly who you are at this stage of your life, your resilience, your beauty, everything you've carried and grown through to get here.
But they become something bigger the moment your children or grandchildren look up at them someday. This is also your legacy: how you choose to be remembered by the people who love you most, not through old candids nobody quite got right, but through portraits that finally reflect who you truly are.
In a way, this experience gives you something rare: the chance to choose how you show up in your family's story. For yourself first, and then for everyone who comes after you.
My path to this studio wasn't linear.
Sixteen years ago, I put on a creative hat coming from a financial services background: biologist first, then a Big Four CPA, before finally discovering my true calling here.
I don't do rigid, transactional posing.
Since 2009, I've joked that I "make women cry professionally," because when my clients see these portraits, they don't just see a smile, they see a soul. Through this work, I intend to disrupt and transform the way women over 40 are viewed, or forgotten, by media and society, by putting out beautiful, authentic images and real stories.
To be honest, I didn't leave a secure corporate career just to create surface-level "pretty pictures." Your beauty is already there. My job is simply to bring it to the surface.
This experience is for the woman who has lived, loved, grown, and is ready to be seen. You might be 40, 60 or 83. You may have curves, silver strands, laugh lines or quiet confidence. What you don't need is to fit a mold.
You're in the right place if:
- You're over 40 and done shrinking, in presence, voice or beauty
- You crave an experience that's equal parts empowering, playful and soul-nourishing
- You're ready to celebrate your journey, your essence and your legacy
This probably isn't for you if:
- You just want a few quick shots and to be done
- You're only after trend-driven glam, not timeless confidence
- You're not open to stepping out of your comfort zone and into your power (with full support, of course)
And no, there's no age cutoff. Whether you're 42, 65 or 83, if you're ready to celebrate your journey instead of shrinking, this was built for you.
If you've seen my work online or on social media, you already know the answer: my clients don't look "done," they look like themselves, just fully seen. That's the whole point.
But I'll also be honest with you: what I create isn't a literal, documentary snapshot. When you sing, dance or simply dream out loud in my studio, what comes through the lens isn't a scientific impression of that moment, it's your essence, translated into art. These are fine art portraits, meant to represent who you are beautifully, in a way a straightforward photograph rarely captures.
Here's what actually surprises almost every woman I photograph: it's not the retouching. It's that even after I show her previews on the back of my camera from time to time during the session, she still doesn't believe she can look "that" beautiful, until she sees the full portraits at the Reveal. That reaction has nothing to do with editing. It's what happens when someone finally sees herself the way everyone else already sees her.
Not photogenic? Nonsense.
It's not your job to be. It's my job to connect with you and make you comfortable, so I can show you in your best light with flattering, expertly guided posing, from expression down to how you hold yourself. Most of the women who walk in nervous are the ones who walk out the most transformed.
One client told me at the start of our working together that she wasn't photogenic, full stop, that's just how she saw herself. By the end, she told me she felt like the most photogenic person in the world. That shift, from "I'm not" to "I felt like," is what this experience is built to do.
This isn't a quick photo session, it's a day-long guided experience designed to reveal what's been waiting to be seen.
We start with a Design Consultation to plan your wardrobe and styling, so everything is built around your traits and your story. From there you're treated to professional hair and makeup, glammed up or natural and refined, whichever feels like you.
Then comes your celebrity-style photoshoot. Covergirl for a day. It's not your job to be photogenic, it's mine to connect with you, make you comfortable, and show you in your best light with flattering, expertly guided posing.
As part of the limited edition portrait series, we'll also record a short story video interview about what beauty means to you, etc.
Finally, you'll return for your Reveal and Ordering session, where you see your images, select your gifted portrait and choose any additional artwork.
The Radiance-Rediscovered Portrait Experience is valued at over $2,000. It's offered for $995, which includes one complimentary fine-art portrait (a $300 value). A payment plan is available upon qualification.
That $995 includes:
Design Consultation: wardrobe, styling and complete custom photo session planning, built around your traits, your story and your aesthetic interests
Professional hair and makeup: camera-ready makeup application and light hairstyling by our on-site artist, glammed up or natural, it's up to you
Custom-designed portrait session: a celebrity-style, magazine-quality photoshoot built exclusively for you
Reveal and Ordering session: where you see your images at the studio, select your gifted portrait and can order additional photographs or products
A feature in my upcoming celebration and gallery-style exhibition, showcasing the portrait series and the stories of the women I've photographed
From there, additional artwork is entirely optional, and entirely your choice. I think of it as part of your family's legacy, something that only grows in meaning, and in value, as the years pass.
I hear this one a lot, and honestly, my experience says the opposite.
My clients, well into their 80s, have held up beautifully in the studio. If anything, the later in life a woman comes to me, the more she seems to be lifted by the experience, look after look, image after image.
One of my clients, 83 years young, outlasted me in stamina that day.
Posing is always adjusted to the individual, and most of my clients are photographed sitting down anyway. This is designed to meet you exactly where you are, not the other way around.
You're welcome to, though most women find they don't need to. By the time you arrive for your session, we'll already have built real comfort together, and you'll know I'm there to support you through the whole day.
One client did bring her sister, visiting from out of state, so she wouldn't be alone. Her sister ended up staying quietly out of the flow the entire time and, watching from the sidelines, described it afterward as "a therapeutic experience." She's already planning to bring her own daughter the next time she's in California.
Yes, and that's part of what makes this series so powerful.
When you apply, the questionnaire asks directly whether you'd be open to sharing before-and-after photographs, and separately, whether you'd like to take part in the closing exhibition, so you're never surprised by how your story and portraits may be used.
As one of the Radiance-Rediscovered-after-40 women, that may include the exhibition itself and promotional materials on our website, blog and social media, so we can share how fabulous you are with the world.
Yes, applications are accepted worldwide. If you're coming from out of town, we'll provide you with local lodging recommendations, including a hotel just five minutes from the studio, so travel logistics are one less thing to plan around.
Because every session is custom-designed around you, not pulled from a template, I only take on a limited number of women for this series.
Applications are accepted worldwide and reviewed as they come in.
Once accepted, we'll move through your consultation, styling planning and session scheduling together, and when the full portrait series is complete, you'll be celebrated at the Radiance-Rediscovered exhibition alongside the other women I've photographed.
